It can be so hard to keep putting one foot in front of the other when a piece of your life, or maybe your whole life, feels like it is falling apart. But our wonderful God still has work for us to do. Sometimes, He may even use that work to heal part of our heart, or to give us perspective that our life is not just that trial.

Philippians 4:11 ESV tells us, “Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content.” Whether our life feels blessed or barren, may we find our contentment and joy in our Lord.

Father, We struggle to be content when life is hard. May we search for contentment in You and find it! Help us to be faithful to what You have called us to do. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
