Many moms have an instinct for what her baby is feeling by his or her cry. “The baby’s hungry,” one mom might correctly say, knowing that it is different than her baby’s cry for being tired, wet, or sick. She knows her baby and responds to the baby’s cry.
To those who believe in His name, He gives us the right to be called children of God (John 1:12). So as children of God, our Father, the creator of the universe, is watching for us and listening for our cry. Psalm 34:15 ESV tells us, “The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous and his ears toward their cry.”
We are not alone! I feel like shouting it directly to the one person who needs to hear that today: YOU ARE NOT ALONE! It is so easy for us to believe the lie that we are on our own and have to figure out this big mess by ourselves. But our Lord wants us to cry out to Him, as babies cry out for their moms. He knows our cries and will answer them.
Lord, Once again, we thank you that we are not on our own. May we cry out to You in our distress, and be delivered. Thank you! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
