5 Bible Verses for Healing and Strength

5 Bible Verses for healing and strength on JulianaGordon.com

As we get older, we are more likely to have a loved one, or be the person, who is having a health problem. Our bodies here on earth weren’t meant to last forever. I lost a friend earlier this year to cancer, and know several people who are struggling with their health right now. The uncertainty and fear that we can experience during these times can be challenging. But we must always remember that our Lord and Savior is with us, and is working out His perfect will in our lives. Sometimes His will gives us miraculous healing here on earth, and we will praise Him! And other times, the healing occurs in heaven, and we will still trust and hope in Him. (Job 13:15) As we navigate these difficult times, these Bible verses for healing and strength can encourage us as we go through these challenges.

“Because he has set his love on me, therefore I will deliver him. I will set him on high, because he has known my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him, and honor him.” Psalm 91:14-15

“Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.” James 5:14-15

“But the multitudes, perceiving it, followed him. He welcomed them, spoke to them of God’s Kingdom, and he cured those who needed healing.” Luke 9:11

“He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.” Psalm 147:3

“For our citizenship is in heaven, from where we also wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will change the body of our humiliation to be conformed to the body of his glory, according to the working by which he is able even to subject all things to himself.” Philippians 3:20-21
