Bad news. Disappointments. Unmet expectations. It can be difficult to deal with these occasionally. But then there are stretches when these struggles seem to arrive on a daily basis. It is understandable that we try to cope our way through these times, right? Getting a break from our challenges can be helpful. But it is more constructive when we turn to the Bible for God’s wisdom and encouragement. Here are 5 reminders that will bring your heart joy.

God offers you salvation

“That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9 NASB

God loves you so much

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 NASB

God is with you

“Teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:20 ESV

God has given you joy through the Holy Spirit

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23 ESV

God’s work in your life gives you reason to rejoice

“For you, O Lord, have made me glad by your work; at the works of your hands I sing for joy.” Psalm 92:4 ESV
