It’s just a few days until Christmas. You may be a paragon of Christmas cheer and organization, a holiday hot mess, or somewhere in between. Take a few moments to find your joy in Jesus today by reading these Bible verses about Christmas.
Anticipating His arrival:
1 John 1:9 ESV
“The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world.”
Who Jesus is:
Isaiah 9:6 ESV
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
How He arrived:
Luke 2:6-7 ESV
“And while they were there, the time came for her to give birth. And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.”
What He did for us:
John 3:16 ESV
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”
Jesus is our hope:
Galatians 4:4-5 ESV
“But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.”
This Christmas, I am thanking God for going to all this trouble for us. He made a plan to redeem us from our sins, to have a personal relationship with us, and to make us part of His family. I am grateful for hearing His word and accepting the free gift of salvation. If you are not sure if you have accepted this gift, what a wonderful Christmas gift it would be to invite Him into your heart! Visit
