#HopewriterLife Challenge: Cultivate

In this age of being able to download books and movies, send messages internationally in the blink of an eye, and print objects using a 3D printer, I have a new appreciation for the processes that take time. I admire the gardeners, the piano players, the professional athletes, who put in the hours toward the end goal. As a gardener cultivates the land or an expert develops their skills, they spend the time on what matters to them. Our loving Lord cultivates our lives towards the end goals: to bring us closer to Him and to glorify Him. He loves us very much and will continue to work on us for the rest of our lives. As this has been a challenging year for so many of us, I think you might identify with the sentiment I said a few weeks ago: “I’m tired of learning life lessons! Can’t I get a break?” Some seasons of cultivation are harder than others, and this might feel like one of them. Take comfort in that God is working all this together for our good (Romans 8:28), and that He is with you (Deuteronomy 31:6). “For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6 NASB I am using the #hopewriterlife challenge to encourage others onto love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24).
